UCSF Biomaterials and Bioengineering Correlative Microscopy Core
- X-ray Micro-Computed Tomography
- Scanning Electron and Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy
- Energy-Dispersive Spectrometry
- Light Microscopy
The Biomaterials and Bioengineering High Resolution Correlative Imaging Facility provides high resolution imaging services. Biomaterials and Bioengineering Correlative Microscopy Core (BBCMC) benefited from the UCSF Research Resource Program's contributions toward the acquisition of the FESEM Sigma-500 scanning electron microscope (from the Research Resource Program Chancellor’s Core Development Fund). The other imaging instruments include high resolution X-ray computed tomography (Micro CT-200), energy dispersive spectrometry (Quantax EDS), light microscopy (Axio Observer.Z1), carbon and gold/palladium coater (Leica EM ACE600), and in situ mechanical testing unit (Deben).
